Architecture in Relief: The Golden Trezzini Awards Unveils a New Dimension for its 2026 Nominee Badge
Architecture is the art of giving form to space. Guided by this philosophy, the Organizing Committee of the Golden Trezzini Awards has unveiled a stunning redesign of the 2026 Nominee Badge. Moving away from the flat graphics of previous years, the new emblem embraces a tactile, hyper-realistic aesthetic that transforms a digital symbol into a "tangible" masterpiece.

The 2026 design is a masterclass in trompe l'oeil. By meticulously layering shadows, highlights, and textures, the badge appears to rise from the screen. It is no longer just a vector graphic but a visual illusion of a precious physical award, capturing the cold luster of polished metal and the delicate grain of ceremonial silk.
The badge features a convex, eight-pointed silver star with radiating polished "strahls" (rays). At its heart lies a circular white medallion showcasing a gilded, high-relief statuette of the "Golden Trezzini." The pedestal is engraved with "2026," flanked by "Est." and "2018," marking the Awards' heritage. The composition is encircled by the title GOLDEN TREZZINI AWARDS in raised gold lettering. Wrapped through the silver rays is a white ribbon bordered in gold, bearing the timeless Latin motto: “Architectura ad summam artis perducta” (“Architecture, reached the peak of art”). The word NOMINEE is set in a crisp, black font at the base.
The Organizing Committee extends its gratitude to Alexander Ilyin, the creator of the original badge design, and to Maria Balalaeva, whose artistry brought this new "trompe l'oeil" vision to life.
