Renowned Architect Kulthida Songkittipakdee Appointed to Jury for Golden Trezzini Awards

Kulthida Songkittipakdee, internationally renowned architect, educator, and co-founder of the Thai firm Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, as well as vice president of The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), has been appointed as a member of the Jury for the prestigious Golden Trezzini Awards in the International Experts Section, marking another significant milestone in her distinguished global career. Her appointment reflects not only her remarkable contributions to contemporary architecture, but also her growing influence in shaping the future discourse of design, culture, and education on the international stage.

Recognized for her visionary approach to architecture, Professor Kulthida Songkittipakdee has built a career defined by experimentation, poetic spatial thinking, and a deep sensitivity toward human experience, materiality, and nature. Her notable projects include the Museum of Modern Aluminum Thailand, Simple Art Museum, High Line Bangkok, Aluminum Grotto and Public Ground. Through her work at the award-winning firm Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, alongside renowned architect Professor Jenchieh Hung, she has developed a body of work that transcends conventional boundaries between architecture, landscape, art, and social engagement. Their projects are celebrated for transforming complex cultural narratives into powerful architectural experiences that resonate both emotionally and intellectually.

Renowned architect Professor Kulthida Songkittipakdee’s professional journey reflects an exceptional international trajectory. She was the first Asian architect selected by the Renzo Piano Foundation to collaborate at the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris, where she was involved in projects including the Jerome L. Greene Science Center at Columbia University and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Expansion. In 2024, she was appointed chairman of The Association of Siamese Architects (ASA) – ASA Architect Expo, where she curated Thailand’s premier international architecture exhibition at the IMPACT Arena Exhibition and Convention Center. In 2025, she was invited to serve as a juror for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) – RIBA International Awards: Asia Pacific Awards, marking a new milestone for Thai architects on the global stage. She is also a lifetime honorary professor at Kunming University of Science and Technology, as well as a guest editor of the Journal of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA Journal), contributing her critiques and perspectives to highlight the emergence of Thai contemporary architecture on the international stage.

Beyond professional practice, Professor Kulthida Songkittipakdee has also dedicated herself to academia and architectural education. She currently serves as a visiting professor at Tongji University and Chulalongkorn University, an adjunct/visiting professor at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and an adjunct professor at the World University of Design. Through these roles, she actively contributes to nurturing the next generation of architects. Through lectures, exhibitions, research, and mentorship, she has become an influential figure connecting professional practice with academic exploration. Her appointment to the jury of the Golden Trezzini Awards represents international recognition of both her creative mastery and intellectual leadership within contemporary architecture. Applications for the 9th International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design are being accepted until September 15. There are no geographic restrictions on project submissions, and participation is free of charge. The winners will be announced on November 20, 2026, at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Golden Trezzini is the only award in the world in which winning projects enter a state museum collection.
